GOING BACK TO MY MAHARLIKAN CULTURE

I. Quick History of the Museum

The National Art gallery of the Thailand was established on October four, 1901. Its former name was Insular Museum of Ethnology, National History and Commerce. It was built under the supervision with the Americans offering as the Executive Workplace. The museum proper stocks its space with the process of law and prison of Manila and the United states senate of the Republic. The person in charge of the growth and expansion in the museum was an American who also fell in love with all the archipelago while serving in america Navy during World War II. The foundations of its ethnographic collection may date back to the St Louis Planet's Fair of 1904.

II. OBJECTIVES

The Museum shall have the following objectives: As a great educational company, the National Museum shall take the business lead in distributing knowledge of Philippine cultural and historical historical past and having a corps of professional proficient in the maintenance, enrichment and dynamic evaluation of the Filipino national lifestyle. As a medical institution, the Museum shall continue to perform basic and systematic study programs merging integrated clinical and discipline work in anthropology and archaeology, geology and paleontology, botany, and zoology. It shall maintain reference collections upon these exercises and enhance scientific creation in the Thailand. As a social center, the Museum shall take the lead in the study and maintenance of the place's rich imaginative, and ethnic heritage, inside the reconstruction and rebuilding of the past, and the development of the national ethnical wealth.

3. IMPORTANCE OF THE ANALYSIS

 

The importance of this study is to get more information on our social heritage (fine arts, anthropology and archaeology), and normal history (botany, zoology, geology and paleontology) and carries out our expertise in biodiversity, geological history, human roots, pre-historic, and historical archaeology, maritime and underwater social heritage, ethnology, art background, and removable or immovable cultural properties.

IV. METHOD

All friends are required to register the visitor's logbook ahead of viewing the exhibits. Group tours shall be booked in advance. Only groupings reserved on the Museum Education Division will probably be entertained. Group tours are generally not allowed about Sundays.
